FLOW began over 15 years ago in a small loft gym on Coast Road in West Mersea, founded by Thomas and his wife Atlanta with one simple vision...to create a place where people could improve their health in a genuinely welcoming, supportive and non-judgemental environment.

Today, that vision has grown into two coaching facilities across Mersea and Rowhedge, but our mission remains the same. We exist to help everyday people build healthier, stronger and happier lives through expert coaching, meaningful relationships and a community that feels like family.

At Flow, we believe movement is medicine, coaching changes lives, and everyone deserves a place where they feel they belong.

THOMAS BONDS

"Over the past 15 years I’ve had the pleasure of working with thousands of people from our Mersea Island community and beyond.

My journey in the health, fitness and wellness space has taken many twist and turns, but the compass has always held true for unravelling peoples potential to feel their best, whatever that means to them.

After qualifying as a personal trainer many moons ago, my passion and interest to learn more has seen me through life changing qualifications around the country:

Advanced Personal Trainer Qualifications, Advanced Nutritionist, GP Referral and Support for specialist conditions, Sports Injuries Specialist and Massage Therapy from the European Head Of Ostepathy Centre.

Outside of coaching I spend my time with my daughter Rayven and wife Atlanta getting up to all sorts, keeping myself fit enough to look after you lot!! watching films and drinking coffee..."

ROWHEDGE HEAD COACH & SITE MANAGER

HAYLEY BARKER

"I've always loved being active and spent much of my life outdoors. Growing up around horses, I spent my childhood helping at a local stables in exchange for riding lessons before eventually owning my own horse. Alongside raising my children, I worked as a freelance groom, training and riding horses, as well as running a dog walking business. Safe to say, throwing around hay bales and feed sacks kept me pretty fit too!

Joining FLOW as a member completely changed the way I looked at health and fitness. Experiencing first-hand the impact that great coaching and an incredible community had on my own journey inspired me to become a coach, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Today, as Head Coach and Site Manager at FLOW Rowhedge, I'm passionate about helping people build confidence, discover what they're capable of and enjoy the process along the way. For me, coaching is about creating a welcoming community where everyone feels supported, encouraged and excited to come through the doors.

ALICE GROGAN

"I've always been active, from copying my mum's yoga DVDs as a child to discovering my true passion for fitness at Exeter University. The gym became my stress relief, and I was amazed by exercise's physical and mental benefits, inspiring me to become a coach.

After joining FLOW in 2023 as a member, I transitioned to working with Tom, earning my Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualifications. In 2025, I'll focus on personal training while pursuing additional training in Pilates, aiming to become a reformer Pilates coach 🤸‍♂

"In the last 8 years. I’ve dedicated my life to coaching a diverse range of people in the physical and psychological aspects. Delivering body composition and strength results of the highest level.

My favourite part of my job is seeing the gratification on the face of someone I've worked with, when they achieve something they thought was impossible.

Every milestone on the journey is important to you and to me as a coach.

As a national level powerlifting coach and athlete, I believe that a strong body and a strong mind will make you happier and more successful in other areas of your life.

In the last 2 years, I have found a passion for body composition goals, delivering amazing transformations to adult people, taking them to a physique they never knew they could achieve.

Maybe it wasn't possible to do it alone, but with the right coach and the right approach, and the right mindset...the sky is the limit."

NADIA ALLSTON

I transformed from a size 20 to a size 6 in one year, then helped my 65-year-old mum get into the best shape of her life — proving it's never too late to start. That personal journey ignited my passion for helping others discover the confidence, energy, and joy that fitness brings.

From boxing and synchronized swimming to HYROX and circuit training, I bring variety and energy to every session. My goal is simple: make exercise fun, empowering, and something you genuinely love doing.

Helping people achieve what they once thought impossible — that's what I'm here for.

NATASHA HARVEY

My coaching journey began when I lost 4 stone and completely reshaped my relationship with health. I learned how to train effectively and manage my nutrition in a sustainable, realistic way — and now I help others do the same.

With a Level 3 Personal Training Qualification and a DipHE in Sports & Fitness Coaching, I support people in changing body composition, improving mental health, building strength, or whatever their personal goals may be.

As a mum myself, I understand the challenge of balancing training with a busy life. That’s why my approach is flexible, realistic, and built around what actually works for real people. My goal is to help you feel strong, confident, and capable — without sacrificing the rest of your world
