FLOW (For Love Of Wellness) was born to cater to those who want to live their best lives - those wanting to not just look their best, but FEEL their best. Local to the Mersea Island Community for 15 years, we strive to empower our members' fitness and wellness journeys by combining the luxury of a private, coaching-only gym with the expertise of the best coaches around and industry-leading approaches – where science meets wellness.

Our gym is for EVERYONE - from busy professionals and parents with their hands full to rehabilitation cases and athletes alike. By embracing a data-driven, science-backed approach, combined with our expert coaches that really care, you can achieve anything. Our first-class facility and its services are the link to help members reach their fitness and wellness potential, in a community that feels like family.

Smart Training: Our foundation begins with goal-specific, tailored exercises that align with your current fitness level, unique body, and desired speed of progression. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and we don't believe in giving our members a machine and letting them figure it out alone. We coach through each and every movement, giving clear targets and technique guidance throughout, so you never feel stuck for progress or unsure if you're moving correctly.

Strategic Nutrition: The next element is fueling and nourishing your body to lay the foundations for an active lifestyle, specific to you and your goals. Here at FLOW, you'll receive individualized and tailored guidance for your nutrition to create new healthy habits for amazing results that actually last.

Lifestyle & Recovery: Our final element focuses on recovery, because we know exercise might be where the physical work is done, but our bodies and fitness really change through the recovery process afterward. Whether it's staying hydrated, improving your sleep quality, reducing stress, or staying mobile outside of the gym - we're here to provide the tools and education to support your goals and make 'Wellness and Recovery' a part of your normal life.

THOMAS BONDS

"Over the past 15 years I’ve had the pleasure of working with thousands of people from our Mersea Island community and beyond.

My journey in the health, fitness and wellness space has taken many twist and turns, but the compass has always held true for unravelling peoples potential to feel their best, whatever that means to them.

After qualifying as a personal trainer many moons ago, my passion and interest to learn more has seen me through life changing qualifications around the country:

Advanced Personal Trainer Qualifications, Advanced Nutritionist, GP Referral and Support for specialist conditions, Sports Injuries Specialist and Massage Therapy from the European Head Of Ostepathy Centre.

Outside of coaching I spend my time with my daughter Rayven and wife Atlanta getting up to all sorts, keeping myself fit enough to look after you lot!! watching films and drinking coffee..."

ADAM COBURN

"I first got into health and fitness through team sports, with football becoming my first love and teaching me valuable lessons about body care. I learned that health and fitness comprises many components contributing to overall wellbeing.

After my playing career, I turned to coaching and discovered a fulfilling path that offered new perspectives on others' lives and my own. Through the years, exercise has been both physically and mentally stimulating, though challenging at times. Despite injuries, I've found peace through exercise and learned there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to health.

Working with clients has been spectacular, introducing me to amazing people and forming lasting relationships through our shared passion for health and fitness."

WILL LAW

"My 15+ years in strength training and combat sports has shaped me as a trainer. Starting with bodybuilding at 13, I later spent 5 years at Kunyu Mountain Martial Arts Academy in China, transitioning from my karate background to more specialized strength and conditioning. After coaching kickboxing in London and studying Mandarin at Yantai University, I returned to the UK in 2020 to compete in amateur kickboxing, with professional aspirations.

Most of my closest friendships have formed in gyms worldwide. I'm qualified as a Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer."

"I've always been active, from copying my mum's yoga DVDs as a child to discovering my true passion for fitness at Exeter University. The gym became my stress relief, and I was amazed by exercise's physical and mental benefits, inspiring me to become a coach.

After joining FLOW in 2023 as a member, I transitioned to working with Tom, earning my Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualifications. In 2025, I'll focus on personal training while pursuing additional training in Pilates, aiming to become a reformer Pilates coach 🤸‍♂

"With 16 years of training and 8 years of coaching experience, I've developed a deep passion for fitness and expertise in helping clients achieve their goals. From Ironman events to bodybuilding competitions, my diverse experience has shown me that a healthy lifestyle is attainable for anyone committed to it.

My philosophy is simple: proper movement can transform lives. I focus on building strong foundations and proper technique before progressing to ensure long-term success and injury prevention. The flow community's positivity is infectious, and I'm excited to work with both members and team."
